Hi Jamil,
ReplyDeleteI love the comment made by Dr. Hiam Ginnot, "Children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression"! If only people all over the world would really take this comment to heart....
I have enjoyed reading your discussion in class and reading your blogs outside of the classroom---especially since you are a professional currently working in the field of early childhood and I am currently working towards becoming a professional in this arena.
Good luck on your educational and life endeavors and I wish you well! Hopefully we will speak again in a future class, but if not, it was certainly nice meeting you.

Hey Jamill, great quotes. I really like the one that states, " "We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today."- Stacia Tauscher I think this is so true, because I don't know how many times I find myself asking young children what do they want to be when they grow up, instead of telling they that they are sombody today. Like the famous words of Jesse Jackson,"I am somebody". I want to wish you and your family a blessed, safe and happy holidays, and good luck with your future early childhood dreams and aspirations!

If we as childcare professionals be mindful at all times of our tone, body language and comments, we will be better role models. To whom much is given much is required.
I pray you and your family have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
