There are many people who influenced me in my life. Some friends and teachers, but most of all family.
All have helped made me grow into the person I am today. A hardworking, dedicated, passionate, and intelligent individual. To name a few, here are some of the people who've influenced my life tremendously.
A beautiful, hard-working woman of three beautiful daughters. She gave birth to a beautiful girl at the age of fifteen. She could have chosen to abort her baby but she chose to give her baby life. For that I am forever grateful. I love her dearly and she is one of my best friends. This lady always made sure I had everything I needed even if it took her last. Even though she was young she stayed in school, worked a job and still made the time to stay care of me, cook, clean, and help me with homework. As I grew older seeing her doing her best to provide a stable environment for me , that influenced me to do my best in school so I could relieve some stress from her and be a help. I can remember one day at school one of my classmates would always call me names. I went home crying and she sat me down and talked to me and told me how beautiful I was, always having low self esteem I finally felt good about myself and I never cared what anybody else said about me. This lady is still influencing my life. Now I am working two jobs and going back to school she is constantly encouraging me to never give up. She always would say “NO PAIN, NO GAIN”. She is always there no matter what and I love her dearly. We have an awesome relationship and I value what we have together. The woman I am discussing is MY MOTHER…. Mrs. Jennifer Henry.

This man is hardworking, dedicated, and loyal to his family. This man was and still is important in my life. When I was younger or after my mom gave birth to me, he enrolled in the military and left to make a better life for his family. While growing up he always would come by and pick me up and take me to the park or to the store to get a treat. He always gave tons of hugs and kisses. He always told me how much he loved me and how much I meant the world to him. Years later he got caught up with drugs and left. About five years later he came back and since has been cleaned from drugs for fifteen years now. Even though he put our family through hell that influenced me not to do drugs and to be mindful about the people I surround myself with. Since he has gotten his life back together he has made up for everything. He still constantly tells me how much he loves me and is there for my children and I. He is a father figure to my children, making sacrifices daily for us and we love him. Things he could not do for me he; he is doing for my children and I am forever blessed to have him in my life. The man I am describing is MY FATHER…. Mr. Joe Henry Jr. He and mom are still together and last month they celebrating 20 years of marriage. One day I hope God will bless me with a husband that’s an epitome of my father, and we can have the same relationship that he and my mother share.

This lady is very special to me. She’s loving, caring, and honest. She is another person who has influenced my life a great deal. As I was growing up she was always firm, she would set rules and I would not dare to break them. J By my mom having me at a young age, at one moment she did most of the providing for us. She also cooked, clean, and made clothes, and provided a shelter. This lady would always go to school and check on my grades because she always believed in getting an education. When my mom went to work she made sure I was fed and I did my homework. One moment that was special to me was my twelfth grade year she brought me a car so I could go back and forward to college. I also love this woman dearly and she has always been an influence in my life. The woman I am talking about is MY GRANDMOTHER…. Mrs. Dorothy Carter.

There is a very special woman in my life. Whenever I need her she is always there whether it’s financially, emotionally, or physically. When I was younger she would care for me when my mom or grandmother could not. We have an AWESOME relationship and I don’t know what I would do without her. The older I get the move I love her. She has not only been there for me but my kids as well and they are just as crazier about her than I. When I needed someone to talk to she was there, when I was out of job after the birth of my kids she was there to help, when I had to see the doctor and have different test completed she paid for those things and medication something she didn’t have to do. This lady is and always will be a vital part in my life and my children life as well. This woman I am discussing is MY GREAT AUNT….. Mrs. Hattie Smith.

This young lady is smart, beautiful, strong minded and full of love. We are a year apart in age but she acts as a big sister to me. She is the person I can talk to about anything. She is my best friend and has always had my best interest at heart. Times I was down and out about situations she was there with a shoulder to cry on. When we were younger she was the only person I really played with and went places with. I can remember the time I wanted my hair permed and my mom said no and just because she had her hair permed my mom said it was ok for me. This young lady was there with me for the birth of my youngest child. This moment was so special to me because she stayed an hour and half away and was the first person away keeping her promise to be there for me. She made that moment even more special because she recorded everything. When I made mistakes she was there to offer advice and give her opinion on things that was best for me. She is a RN nurse at Baptist Desoto Hospital and she constantly stays on me about my weight and wants me to get healthy so I can live for my two beautiful children. This person I love so dearly is MY COUSIN….Secondria Monique Henry.
